Dmitry Druzhinsky’s ventures into property development began in 2000 with the spearheading of his own home’s development. He has since been behind the development and sale of more than one hundred different properties. As co-founder of MatchPoint NYC, his talent in the acquisition and repurposing of land was vital to the success of the great $20 million facility. The arduous negotiations with New York City’s Board of Standards and Appeals to gain permission to construct on the highly sought after three acre lot were wrapped up only after the businessman worked with the city to “de-map” a street which had been unused for the last century, but passed through one of the parcels where the structure was to be built. Upon its completion, MatchPointNYC became the largest recreational facility of it’s like in Brooklyn, and the second largest such rec center in all of New York.
